- Narthex: the vestibule of the chapel
- Ambulatory: the side walkways
- Transept: the "arms" of the chapel
that run west to east
- Chancel: front of the chapel; location
of organ, altar and choir
- Lectern: from where the Bible is read

- Pulpit: from where sermons are
preached (right, raised)
- Reredos: literally, "back wall," the
façade behind the altar
- Clerestory: upper part of wall, with
windows
- Triforium: walkway beneath the
clerestory
- King's Balcony: lower balcony, south
end
- Organ gallery: upper balcony, south
end
