Weddings
Making the Arrangements
- Setting the Wedding Date
- Please call the Chapel Wedding Coordinator at (773) 702-9202 to discuss
available dates and times. The Wedding Coordinator will send you an
application form. Your application, complete with proof of University
affiliation (for Saturday weddings) and your non-refundable deposit, must be
returned to the Chapel no later than three weeks after making your
reservation. We cannot guarantee your reservation if you application materials
and deposit are not received within three weeks. You are responsible for
following up on your preliminary reservation.
- Summer weddings (mid-June through Labor Day weekend) may be scheduled at any time. Weddings held during the remaining months cannot be scheduled until after the Chapel's annual planning meeting in February.
- Rehearsal Time
- A one hour rehearsal in the Chapel is included in the rental cost and are typically scheduled on a weekday afternoon. It is essential that all members of the wedding party be present and on time. A Wedding Assistant will be available to assist you during your rehearsal and wedding. The Chapel organist does not attend rehearsals.
- The Wedding Day
- Because there is often more than one wedding on a given Saturday, please be aware that your entire program, including flower delivery, arrival of guests, ceremony, photography and cleanup, must begin no sooner than and concluded by the end of your scheduled three-hour time block. Additional time, if available, must be scheduled in advance and will result in additional cost to you at the applicable rate
- Only limousines are allowed to park in the Chapel driveway.
